Lessons are fun, inspiring and supportive. We look at understanding how the whole body plays a major role in singing efficiently and easily, so that you are free to express yourself musically and dramatically when performing. We learn how to breath deep in the body, with a balanced posture, and identify how it feels to sing with energy but no unnecessary tension in your body, so that your throat never feels strained and your vocal range and stamina can reach their full potential. I also help you deal with performance nerves and to choose suitable repertoire for auditions.
"Use what talents you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best." Henry Van Dyke
Anyone, no matter what age or ability, can learn how to sing better! Singing is one of the most natural ways we have to express ourselves, and learning how to sing with physical and emotional freedom is one of the most joyful experiences we can have. The emphasis in my studio is on fun and exploration.
